Counting of votes has begun in the two referendums on the issues of Family and Care.

Almost 3.5 million citizens were eligible to vote yesterday, in what was voters’ first opportunity to cast a ballot in more than four years.

Turnout across the country was mixed when polls closed at 10pm last night. It reached 50% in some parts of the country, but remained below 30% elsewhere.
