The death of a man in Dublin yesterday has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC).
Gardaí received a report of an incident on the Waterloo Road in Dublin 4 at around 12.35pm.
Gardai said that while they were at the scene a man fell ill.
He received medical treatment by emergency services at the scene and was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
As per garda policy, the matter has been referred to GSOC.
