Two men have been charged with the murder of 47-year-old Kieran Quilligan.
Mr Quilligan had been missing from Cork city since 1 September last year.
His skeletal remains were found on the road between Midleton and Whitegate in east Cork last Monday.
31-year old Niall Long of St Michael’s Close, Mahon in Cork, and 26-year old Luke Taylor of no fixed address were brought before the District Court in Cork this morning.
The were charged with the murder of Mr Quilligan on a date between 1 September last year and 29 January this year, at an unknown location within the State.
Both men were remanded in custody and will be back before the court again in a week.
