Three women injured in Louth attack named locally


The woman who was seriously injured during an incident at a house in Dundalk, Co Louth on Friday has been named locally as Patricia ‘Pat’ Muckian.

She remains in a serious condition in hospital after suffering head injuries.

Ms Muckian was transferred to Beaumont Hospital on Friday night from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Sinn Féin TD Ruairí Ó’ Murchú said the three women who were injured in the attack are related.

The two other women, who received minor injuries, have been named locally as Mairead Muckian and Maria Muckian.

They were also treated in hospital in Co Louth.

A man arrested at the scene remains in garda custody.
