Three held over Drimnagh shooting released without charge

Three people arrested in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old man in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning have been released without charge.

They were arrested wearing bullet proof vests in Drimnagh near where Josh Itseli was shot dead.

He was known to the gardaí as a drug dealer and was before the courts on charges of supplying cocaine in Drimnagh.

The three, two men in their 20s and a teenager, were released last night after two days questioning.

A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí have also issued an appeal for information about a stolen electric motorbike which they said was used in connection with the murder.

Gardaí seized the black electric motorbike and are trying to trace its owner

The bike, a black Talari Sting, was seen in the area around Dolphin, Crumlin and Davitt Roads in Drimnagh around the time of the murder.

Gardaí seized the motorbike and are now trying to trace its owner.

The post-mortem on the body of Josh Itseli has now been completed and has shown he died from gunshot wounds after he was shot several times.

Detectives believe he was shot as part of a feud among criminal gangs.

An AR-15 rifle has been recovered along with a pipe bomb that was made safe.

Three cars removed from the scene are being forensically examined.

The garda investigation is continuing.
