Shipquay Street in Derry was the scene of a “Rock the Boat” world record attempt earlier today.
The fundraising event was organised by Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Patricia Logue.
Ms Louge said that she believed they had succeeded in setting a new world record with 1,888 people taking part, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
The previous record was set set in Co Galway’s Salthill in 2019 with 1,809 participants.
