Man charged with murder of Sarah McNally in New York


The former boyfriend of Longford woman Sarah McNally, who was stabbed to death in New York last month, has appeared at a court in New York charged with her murder.

Marcin Pieciak, 36, is charged with second degree murder and possession of a criminal weapon.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said that earlier this month that he had been indicted in his absence due to self-inflicted injuries.

After yesterday’s appearance in court for arraignment, Mr Pieciak was remanded to attend court again on 18 June.

Ms McNally died following the incident at the Céilí House pub in Maspeth in Queens on 30 March.
