Man charged over historical abuse at Dublin school



A man in his 70s has been charged with 23 counts of indecent assault relating to historical abuse at a Dublin school over a seven-year period.

The man who appeared before Judge Anne Watkins at Dún Laoghaire District Court has not been named by order of the court.

The accused was charged with 23 counts of indecent assault between 1977 and 1984.

The charges relate to seven alleged victims.

The accused denied the charges which were presented by Inspector Rachael Kilpatrick of Blackrock Garda Station.

He was granted bail under agreed conditions and is due to appear in court again on 14 May.
