A man has died following a collision involving a car and an articulated lorry in Co Cork.
The incident happened on the N25 in Ballyedekin near Midleton at around 7.25am.
The man, who was in his 20s, was driving the car when the collision happened.
His body was brought to Cork University Hospital. No one else was injured in the incident.
The N25 is closed from Midleton to Castlemartyr while a technical examination takes place with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who was travelling on the N25 between Midleton and Castlemartyr around 7am and 7.45am and who may have camera footage to contact them.
