Ireland host England at Aviva as Euro fixtures unveiled

Republic of Ireland will host both England and Sweden at the Aviva Stadium as the fixture schedule was announced for the daunting Euro 2025 qualifying campaign.

While already guaranteed a play-off, Eileen Gleeson’s side were handed an extraordinarily difficult qualification group, containing three of the top five sides in the world, in the draw which was conducted in Switzerland on Tuesday.

Ireland will begin their campaign away to France on 5 April before returning to Dublin four days later to host reigning champions England on 9 April.

The game has been switched from their usual home in Tallaght to the Aviva Stadium. They will remain on Lansdowne Road for the next fixture at home to Sweden on 31 May.

Ireland travel to Sweden for the return fixture on Tuesday, 4 June.

In the final window, Ireland are away to England on 12 July before their final game at home to France on 16 July.

Head coach Gleeson said she hoped the switch to the Aviva would see a huge attendance for the fixtures against England and Sweden.

“It is fantastic to have the opportunity to bring our fans back to the Aviva Stadium again and to hopefully attract many more new fans with the visit of England in April and Sweden in May.”

The times for the games will be announced in due course.
