The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) is holding its annual delegates conference in Croke Park this week.
It is expected that more than 50 motions will be discussed over the course of the three-day event, which begins today and will run until Friday afternoon.
The motions to be debated include the HSE’s recruitment freeze, patient safety, safety in the workplace, along with housing and integration.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly will address the conference on Friday morning, according to a statement from the INMO.
The INMO said more than 350 delegates are expected to attend what is the organisation’s 105th annual conference.
The Palestinian ambassador to Ireland Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid will address the conference tomorrow morning as delegates debate whether to call for a campaign for a ceasefire in Gaza.
