The Health Service Executive is urging anyone eligible who is considering getting a COVID-19 booster dose to get the vaccine in the coming days as the vaccine programme will pause on 14 June.
The COVID-19 vaccination programme will then conclude for the summer as it has done previously.
In a statement, the HSE said in particular anyone aged 80 or older, 5 or older with weak immune systems or those living in a long-term facility should avail of the service.
COVID-19 vaccines are available from participating GPs and pharmacists.
HSE vaccination teams also give the vaccine to people living in residential care facilities including nursing homes, and individuals who are housebound.
