Further arrests in 2010 murder investigation



Two men have been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of Lee Slattery who was shot dead in Limerick in 2010.

The body of the 24-year-old father-of-one, from Ballynanty on the northside of the city, was found in a shallow grave in a wooded area on the grounds of the derelict Delmege House, which is located on the Knockalisheen road behind the Moyross estate.

He had not been seen for the previous four days after he visited a friend’s house in the city on the night of 27 May 2010

Both men arrested yesterday evening are being held at garda stations in Limerick.

A woman in her 30s who was detained on Sunday remain in custody.

Two men arrested on Monday were released without charge last night.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information to contact them at the incident room in Mayorstone Garda Station at 061-456980.
