Three other gardaí and a peace commissioner have already been before the court in the past two weeks on related charges.

The garda faces three charges including that on 7 September 2021 he entered as a trespasser to a flat in Mountjoy Square North, Dublin and committed theft.

He is also charged that between 30 September and 30 December 2021, with intent to pervert the course of justice, he signed information for a search warrant for a search of the same premises.

He is also charged that on 21 September 2021 with intent to pervert the course of justice he created three incidents on the garda Pulse system.

The court was told he was arrested on the 11 March at Irishtown Garda Station.
