A tech worker sacked for expressing political views on X regarding the war in Gaza has told the WRC that she feels like she’s been “blacklisted” from the tech sector.
Courtney Carey (27) from Wood Avens in Clondalkin, Co Dublin was giving evidence as part of her unfair dismissal case against her former employer Wix online platforms LTD.
Ms Carey claimed last October that she was sacked for referring to Israel as a “terrorist state” in a social media post.
Legal counsel for Wix conceded that the dismissal in October last year was procedurally unfair.
Wix is a software company that provides a platform for people to build websites and employs about 500 people in Dublin.
