Brothers charged with firearm offences refused bail


Two brothers charged with firearms offences following the seizure of guns and ammunition in Finglas in Dublin two years ago have been refused bail.

Glen Ward, 30, has been charged with two firearms offences, while his younger brother Eric O’ Driscoll who is 22, faces six firearms charges.

Judge Alan Mitchell refused both men’s applications and remanded both in custody to appear again in court later this month.

Glen Ward is accused of possession of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and of recklessly discharging a weapon at an address on Ratoath Drive in Finglas on or about 1 January 2022.

Eric O’Driscoll, 22, faces six charges

His younger brother Eric O’ Driscoll is accused of possession of an AR-15 rifle and an Ingram machine pistol, along with possession of ammunition and magazines on 10 February last year at Ratoath Drive in Finglas.

He is also charged with recklessly discharging a firearm at a different address on Ratoath Drive on or about the 1 of January 2022.
