A man in his 30s has been arrested after cocaine worth almost €550,000 was seized at Dublin airport yesterday.
The drugs were discovered after Revenue officers searched the luggage of a passenger who had come off a flight from Brazil via Madrid.
They found 7.8kg of cocaine, with an estimated value of €546,000, concealed amongst clothing in the bag.
The man was arrested and held at a garda station in Dublin.
He is due before the courts later today.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
