Status Yellow thunderstorm warning issued for 5 counties
A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for five counties.
The warning for Carlow, Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford will be in place from 2pm until 8pm.
Met Éireann has warned there could be travel related issues, spot flooding and lightning strikes.

It will be a mainly dry and sunny day with temperatures between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius.
However, showers will develop in Leinster and Munster during the afternoon and evening, with the heaviest in the south and southeast.
