Ireland’s newly-crowned World Junior Boxing Champion is aiming to give 2024 her best shot yet.
Siofra Lawless, 16, from Greystones in Co Wicklow won gold in the World Junior Boxing Championship in Armenia in early December.
Only a few days later, Siofra Lawless returned to a hero’s welcome from her fellow students at Temple Carraig Secondary School where Tadgh O’Donnell, 2022 European Junior Boxing Champion, is also a pupil.
Both Siofra Lawless and Tadhg O’Donnell train in Kilcoole’s Four Kings Boxing Club.
Siofra spoke to RTÉ News about her hopes for 2024.
