Two arrested in Blanchardstown attack investigation



Two people have been arrested as part of the investigation into the deaths of two men following a gun attack in Blanchardstown, Dublin, on Christmas Eve.

Tristan Sherry, 26, died after he was assaulted and stabbed during a gun attack at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown on 24 December 2023.

A second man, Jason Hennessy Sr, who was shot and seriously injured during the attack died in hospital 11 days later.

Gardaí said that two males were arrested this morning and are being held at garda stations in west Dublin.

The arrests are the eighth and ninth made as part of the investigation.

Gardaí arrested two males this morning, Sunday 28th January 2024, as part of the investigation into the murder of Tristan Sherry that occurred at a premises on the Main Street in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 at approximately 8pm on Sunday, 24th December 2023.

Both males are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda Stations in West Dublin.

This is the eighth and ninth arrest made as part of this investigation.
