Status Yellow warning issued for strong winds at weekend

Strong winds are set to hit Ireland at the weekend, with Met Éireann issuing a Status Yellow wind warning for the country.
The warning will be in effect from 7am until 8pm on Saturday.
The forecaster said the country will be hit by very strong and gusty southerly winds, which may lead to fallen trees, difficult travel conditions, debris and possibly some coastal flooding.
Met Éireann said that overall the weather will remain unsettled with spells of rain and strong winds at times.
