Sinn Féin one point ahead of Fine Gael in latest poll

Sinn Féin has lost support and is now just one point ahead of Fine Gael, according to the latest opinion poll.
The RED C poll for the Business Post suggests that Sinn Féin’s support fell by four points, compared to last month, to 23%.
In May 2022, the party stood at 36%.
At 22%, Fine Gael has increased its support by two points, the survey suggests – a four point gain since Simon Harris took over as party leader.
Fianna Fáil’s support increased slightly, by one point, to 15% while support for independent candidates remains unchanged at 19%.
Support for the Social Democrats has dropped by one point, down to 5%.
Both the Green Party and Labour stand at 4%, an increase of one point each.
People Before Profit-Solidarity has also increased by one point to 3% and Aontú has dropped one point down to 3%.
RED C interviewed a random sample of 1,021 adults online between Friday 17 May and Wednesday 22 May.
