Opinion poll suggests drop in support for Sinn Féin
Support for Sinn Féin has dropped to 27%, the latest Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks opinion poll suggests.
It represents a 2 point decrease on the previous comparable poll, and Sinn Féin’s lowest level of support in nearly 3 years.
The poll also suggests that support for the Government parties has increased.
Fine Gael has experienced a marginal increase in support, up 1 to 20%.
Coalition partners Fianna Fáil are also up one to 18%.
The Social Democrats are up 2 points to stand at 7%. The Labour Party unchanged at 4%.
The Greens are up one point to stand at 4%
Both Solidarity/People Before Profit and Aontú are down one point to stand at 2%.
Support for Independents and others has slipped by one point to 17%
The poll was taken yesterday and today among a sample size of 1,083 people with a margin of error of +/- 3%.
