Medical staffing company tops Tax Defaulters’ List

Transmedix, a Cork-based medical staff provider, has topped the latest Tax Defaulters’ List from Revenue with a settlement of €586,600 for non-declaration of corporation tax and PAYE/PRSI/USC.
According to Revenue, €463,309 of the Transmedix settlement was unpaid as at 31 December 2023.
Revenue today published details of 16 tax settlement cases totalling €5m for the period from 1 October 2023 to 31 December 2023.
Ina’s Kitchen Desserts, a cake manufacturer trading as Broderick’s, made a settlement of €535,069 for under-declaration of corporation tax, PAYE/PRSI/USC and VAT.
Mark Hoste, a landlord with an address in Cheshire in the UK, made a settlement of €523,154 for under-declaration of Capital Acquisitions Tax.
Dublin-based software firm, The Big Red Book Company, made a settlement of €464,568 for under-declaration of PAYE/PRSI/USC.
Graham De Barra, a cryptocurrency trader with an address in Portugal made a settlement of €202,109 for under-declaration of Income Tax. The total amount was unpaid as at 31 December 2023.
Brian Carthy, a journalist with an address in Terenure, Dublin 6W trading as Sliabh Ban Productions, made a tax settlement with Revenue of almost €130,000 for under-declaration of income tax, PAYE/PRSI, USC and VAT.
According to the list, €109,419 of Mr Carthy’s settlement was unpaid as at 31 December 2023.
Revenue has also published details of 111 court-determined penalties and fines.
Three court-determined penalties amounted to €198,911, while 108 court-determined fines during the period totalled €238,082.
