Man released in Kenneth Fetherston murder inquiry



A man in his 40s, who was arrested yesterday in connection with the investigation into the murder of Kenneth Fetherston, has been released without charge.

Gardaí said that a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.

Mr Fetherston’s remains were found in the Dublin mountains in January 2010.

The 26-year-old had been reported missing on 22 September 2009.

In 2020, gardaí began a cold case review and investigation into the circumstances of his murder.

The father-of-one was last seen shortly after leaving his home in Tallaght that morning.

His car was found in Gorey, Co Wexford, four days later.
