A man who exposed himself and performed a lewd act in front of a group of children playing near their homes in Dublin has pleaded guilty to the offence in court.
Mark Dolan, 48, formerly of Andrew Heights, Dún Brinn, Athy, Co Kildare admitted exposing himself and masturbating in front of four young girls on 6 May 2023.
The seven-year-old girls were out playing on the street when the incident occurred, an earlier court hearing was told.
The charge the father of three pleaded guilty to at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court states the offence was for the purpose of sexual gratification or “corrupting or depraving a child”.
Dolan had initially been granted anonymity, but the District Court order was subsequently lifted following a challenge by RTÉ.
Judge Martin Nolan remanded him on bail for sentencing on 20 March.
