Man formally indicted over killing of Sarah McNally
A man has been formally indicted by a Grand Jury in New York over the killing of Longford woman Sarah McNally who was stabbed to death in a bar in the city at the weekend.
The Queens District Attorney told Criminal Court Judge Julieta Lozano that a Grand Jury had issued the indictment at a hearing in Queens Criminal court this afternoon.
The indictment remains under seal until a later date.
Marcin Pieciak, 36, of 76th Street in Glendale, New York, was charged earlier this week with murder in the second degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, following his arrest by NYPD officers.
Mr Pieciak did not appear in court today.
He remains in hospital recovering from self-inflicted stab wounds.
Judge Lozano did not set a date for another hearing in this case.
