Rescuers on Sunday saved a man from the side of a California cliff using a helicopter after he fell 15 to 18 metres and was left clinging for his life.
A video released by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office showed a Tactical Flight Officer (TFO) being flown to the man via helicopter before placing him into a rescue device and lifting him from the cliffside.
They were later flown to the top of the cliff and the victim was sent for a medical evaluation, said authorities.
According to authorities, the incident took place near the Battery Alexander trail in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
