Man charged with assaulting three women in Dundalk



A 47-year-old man has appeared in court charged in relation to the assault of three women in Dundalk, Co Louth last Friday.

Nicholas Muckian, with an address at Glenwood in Dundalk, is charged with three counts of assault causing harm to three women on 3 May.

He is further charged with unlawfully intimidating another person with a hatchet.

Garda Kate Brady told Dundalk District Court that gardaí were objecting to bail.

Solicitor for Mr Muckian, Amy McCumiskey, said there would be no application for bail.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan remanded him in custody to appear again on 15 May.

She also directed that he receive urgent medical attention and assessment.
