A man has died following a single-car crash in Co Mayo.
The man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he was driving crashed on the N17 at Lisduff in Claremorris.
The N17 at Lisduff is expected to remain closed overnight, while local diversions are in place through Ballindine and Claremorris.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested to attend the scene, gardaí said.
Witnesses of the crash have been asked to come forward, while anyone with any information has been asked to contact Claremorris Garda station on 094 937 2080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N17 in the Lisduff area at the time of the collision have also been asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
