A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man in Co Kildare in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Valeriu Melnic, with an address in Calliaghstown Lower in Rathcoole, Co Dublin, was charged with the murder of 39-year-old Ion Daghi at an address in Sallins Park, Co Kildare.
At a special sitting of Naas District Court, Detective Garda Enda Coleman said Mr Melnic was charged with murder yesterday evening.
He is due to appear at Naas District Court again on Thursday.
