A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a 39-year-old man in Co Kildare in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Valeriu Melnic, 23, with an address in Calliaghstown Lower in Rathcoole, Co Dublin, is charged with the murder of the 39-year-old man at an address in Sallins Park, Co Kildare.
At a special sitting of Naas District Court on Monday night, Detective Garda Enda Coleman said Mr Melnic was arrested on Monday evening and later charged with murder.
Judge Desmond Zaidan said Mr Melnic is due to appear at Naas District Court again on Thursday, 16 May.
