Kerry-based entertainment tech company Xavatar has secured a deal that will see its CGI-animated metaverse talk show, ‘The Xavatar Show’, airing to over 64 million US homes.
The show will be available on the arts network Ovation TV and the cable television network UPtv.
The Xavatar Show will be broadcast from the metaverse and will feature interviews with globally recognised filmmakers, actors and songwriters.
The metaverse is a virtual reality world that allows people to interact in interconnected 3D digital spaces. Xavatar uses cutting-edge AI based real-time animation technology to create avatars, the characters that people use in the metaverse.
The Xavatar Show will provide a portal for viewers to actively join the broadcast, allowing them to explore the very places the guests talk about during the show.
It will be hosted by actor Colin O’Donoghue, film producer Rose Ganguzza and Xavatar show creator Jason P Rothberg.
“I believe The Xavatar Show could be a gateway to a whole new world of immersive entertainment which allows the viewer to connect with the show in a new way, exploring celebrity driven environments and interacting with their favourite artists in an immersive way,” Mr O’Donoghue said.
Based in the RDI Hub in Killorglin, Co Kerry, Xavatar is an immersive media company that develops downloadable AI-driven animated avatars for digital video telecom platforms.
