An investigation is under way after a man’s body was discovered at an apartment in Clones, Co Monaghan.
The body of a man in his 40s was discovered at an apartment at the Diamond in the centre of the border town at around 10pm on Saturday.
The scene was preserved for a technical examination.
The man’s body was removed to Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, Co Meath, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The results of that post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation and gardaí say they have not yet launched a homicide investigation.
