HSE to pause Covid-19 vaccine programme in June
The Health Service Executive is urging anyone eligible who is considering getting a Covid-19 booster dose to do so in the coming days as the vaccine programme will pause on 14 June.
The programme will then conclude for the summer as it has done previously.
In a statement, the HSE said in particular anyone aged 80 or older, five or older with weak immune systems or those living in a long-term facility should avail of the service.
Covid-19 vaccines are available from participating GPs and pharmacists.
HSE vaccination teams also give the jab to people living in residential care facilities, including nursing homes, and individuals who are housebound.
