There is the potential for heavy downpours along the west coast this afternoon, with Met Éireann issuing a status yellow thunderstorm warning for six counties.
The warning is for counties Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal.
It comes into effect from 3pm this afternoon until 9pm tonight.
Met Éireann has said there may be localised thunderstorms with heavy downpours.
The heavy rain may lead to spot flooding in some areas.
Motorists have also been warned to expect difficult travelling conditions, and poor visibility in places.
