Girl, 6, dies from injuries sustained in Westmeath crash



A six-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a Co Westmeath road crash last week has died.

The crash happened on the M6 eastbound at around 4pm on 8 February.

The girl sustained serious injuries in the crash and died in Temple Street hospital yesterday.

Two other occupants in the car, a man aged in his 40s and a nine-year-old boy, were not seriously injured in the incident.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact Mullingar
