Funeral arrangements made for victims of Carlow crash



The funeral arrangements for the three young people who died in Wednesday night’s crash in Co Carlow have been confirmed.

The funeral services for 19-year-old Katie Graham and 21-year-old Daryl Culbert will take place separately at Arles, in Co Laois, and Kiltegan, in County Wicklow, on Bank Holiday Monday.

Michael Kelly, 25, is to be buried on Tuesday following Requiem Mass at Hacketstown in Co Carlow.

Katie Graham will repose at her home tomorrow afternoon rom 3pm until 8pm with rosary at 7pm.

She will be brought to the Church of the Sacred Heart in Arles for Requiem Mass at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Daryl Culbert’s funeral will will take place at St. Peter’s Church, Kiltegan on Monday at 2pm. Afterwards he will be laid to rest in the adjoining churchyard.

Michael Kelly’s funeral will take place on Tuesday at St. Brigid’s Church, Hacketstown at 1pm. Afterwards he will be laid to rest with his grandparents in Hacketstown Cemetary.

The garda investigation into all of the circumstances surrounding Wednesday night’s crash is continuing.

A technical examination of the scene has been completed by gardaí and an appeal has been made for witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam footage from the scene between 11.15pm and midnight on Wednesday night, to contact Carlow Garda Station on 059 913 6620, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
