Flight diverted to Dublin over two incidents on board



A plane bound for the US has been diverted to Dublin Airport after reports of two incidents on board.

The United Airlines flight, which left Brussels earlier today was en route to Newark when it landed in Dublin this afternoon.

In a statement, the operators of the airport, the daa, said the flight, UA998, diverted to Dublin due to two separate issues – a disruptive passenger and a suspected medical issue on board.

It said appropriate protocols were put in place by Dublin Airport Operations and Airport Police for the arrival of the aircraft and the Gardaí, National Ambulance Service and HSE personnel met the aircraft on arrival.

It says there is no impact on operations at Dublin Airport and passengers travelling this evening should plan to arrive at the airport as normal.
