A diving event in Co Donegal has been cancelled following the death of a man yesterday.
More than 100 divers had been taking part in the North West Dive Rally, organised by the Donegal Bay Sub Aqua club held at Teileann Pier, west of Killybegs.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm.
One of the participlants, a man in his 40s, died during the event.
Another man, aged in his 60s, remains in hospital after he was seriously injured.
The local coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
Gardaí, emergency services, the Killybegs Coast Guard and an Irish Coast Guard Rescue helicopter took part in a search.
The two-day, event which began yesterday, has been cancelled today.
