Taoiseach Simon Harris is announcing that Ireland is formally recognising the state of Palestine.
Mr Harris, Tánaiste Micheál Martin and Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan are addressing Ireland’s intentions at a news conference at Government Buildings.
There has been ongoing coordination with several other capitals, and it is now believed two other European countries will recognise Palestinian statehood around the same time – one of them being Spain.
