Climate change is a hot topic among pupils showcasing their work at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
The contest, which is in its 60th year, is taking place at Dublin’s RDS.
Competition judge Dr Eoin Lettice said it is great to see pupils offering solutions to the issue.
“There’s a lot of stark warnings out there and I think the students here get that, they get the warnings and they get the need for action.”
