Chinese shopping app Temu will have to comply with stringent EU safety rules after Brussels added the company to its list of digital firms big enough to face curbs, an EU official has said.
Temu joins AliExpress, Amazon, Shein and others known as “very large” platforms which face greater oversight under the EU Digital Services Act, including monitoring “risks related to the listing and sale of counterfeit goods”, the official at the European Commission told AFP.
