A teenage boy died after getting into difficulty in the Grand Canal in Co Kildare over the weekend.
The incident happened at around 5.40pm on Saturday between Ardclough and Celbridge.
A number of emergency services attended the scene and the boy’s body was recovered from the water.
The local coroner was notified and arrangements are being made for a post-mortem examination.
