Unusual watersprout spotted off Spanish coast
Eyewitness video filmed on Thursday showed an unusual waterspout off the coast of Spain’s northeastern region of Catalonia swirling over the Mediterranean Sea.
Waterspouts are tornadoes that occur over a body of water but never reach land.
Although they are most common in tropical and subtropical areas, like Florida, they also occur in Europe.
They are characterised by a funnel-shaped cloud.
