Two men due in court over death of Croatian man in Dublin


Two men are due in court charged in connection with the murder of a Croatian man, and the assault of a second man, in west Dublin last month.

Josip Strok, who was in his 30s and originally from Croatia, died in hospital following an assault in Clondalkin on 30 March.

Another man was seriously injured and was hospitalised in the incident, which happened outside a residential premises in the Grange View Way area shortly after 10pm..

Yesterday, three men were arrested by gardaí from the Clondalkin District and the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Two of the men have been charged and are due to appear at a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court.

The third man has been released without charge and gardaí have said a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
